Thomas’ faith was condemned by the Lord Jesus: What warning does this give us?

God says, “Before the Lord Jesus was nailed to the cross, Thomas always doubted that He was Christ, and was incapable of belief. His faith in God was established only on the basis of what he could see with his own eyes, what he could touch with his own hands. The Lord Jesus had a good understanding of the faith of this type of person. They only believed in God in heaven, and did not believe at all in the One sent by God, or the Christ in the flesh, and nor would they accept Him. In order for Thomas to acknowledge and believe in the existence of the Lord Jesus and that He truly was God incarnate, He allowed Thomas to reach out his hand and touch His rib. Was Thomas’ doubting any different before and after the Lord Jesus’ resurrection? He was always doubting, and except by the Lord Jesus’ spiritual body personally appearing to him and allowing him to touch the nail marks on His body, there was no way that anyone could resolve his doubts and make him let go of them. So, from the time the Lord Jesus allowed Thomas to touch His rib and let him really feel the existence of the nail marks, Thomas’ doubt disappeared, and he truly knew that the Lord Jesus had been resurrected, and he acknowledged and believed that the Lord Jesus was the true Christ and God incarnate. Although at this time Thomas no longer doubted, he had lost forever the chance to meet with Christ. He had lost forever the chance to be together with Him, to follow Him, to know Him. He had lost the chance for Christ to perfect him. The Lord Jesus’ appearance and His words provided a conclusion and a verdict on the faith of those who were full of doubts. He used His actual words and actions to tell the doubters, to tell those who only believed in God in heaven but did not believe in Christ: God did not commend their belief, nor did He commend them for following Him while doubting Him. The day when they fully believed in God and Christ could only be the day that God completed His great work. Of course, that day was also the day that a verdict was made upon their doubt. Their attitude toward Christ determined their fate, and their stubborn doubt meant that their faith bore them no fruit, and their hardness meant that their hopes were in vain. Because their belief in God in heaven was fed on illusions, and their doubt toward Christ was actually their true attitude toward God, even though they touched the nail marks on the Lord Jesus’ body, their faith was still useless and their outcome could only be described as drawing water with a bamboo basket—all in vain.”

How to Believe in God to Be Saved and Perfected?

Relevant Words of God:

Though many people believe in God, few understand what faith in God means, and what they must do to be after God’s heart. This is because, though people are familiar with the word “God” and phrases such as “the work of God,” they do not know God, much less do they know His work. No wonder, then, that all those who do not know God are possessed of a muddled belief. People do not take belief in God seriously because believing in God is too unfamiliar, too strange for them. In this way, they fall short of the demands of God. In other words, if people do not know God, do not know His work, then they are not fit for God’s use, much less can they fulfill the desire of God. “Belief in God” means believing that there is a God; this is the simplest concept of faith in God. What’s more, believing that there is a God is not the same as truly believing in God; rather, it is a kind of simple faith with strong religious overtones. True faith in God means experiencing the words and work of God based on a belief that God holds sovereignty over all things. So you shall be freed of your corrupt disposition, shall fulfill the desire of God, and shall come to know God. Only through such a journey can you be said to believe in God. Yet people often see belief in God as something very simple and frivolous. The belief of such people is meaningless and shall never gain the approval of God, because they tread the wrong path. Today, there are still those who believe in God in letters, in hollow doctrines. They are unaware that their belief in God has no substance, and that they are unable to gain the approval of God, and they still pray for peace and sufficient grace from God. We should stop and ask ourselves: Could believing in God really be the easiest thing on earth? Does believing in God mean nothing more than receiving much grace from God? Can people who believe in God but do not know Him, and believe in God yet oppose Him, really fulfill the desire of God?

Matthew 2:11 – Accept the Work of the Holy Spirit

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

This verse records that three Magi from the East followed the guidance of a star and found the newly born Lord Jesus. This story is thought-provoking. The three Magi from the East came to Jerusalem to look for the born King of the Jews according to the guidance of the star. They thought that the king should be born in a royal palace, so they went to the royal palace to inquire of King Herod at first. Dispatched to Bethlehem by the King Herod, they continued to follow the star guidance and found the newly born Lord Jesus, bowing down to worship Him and presenting gifts, finally, they received instructions from the Lord in a dream and they did not go back and tell the King Herod. It can be seen that the Magi are follower of the guidance of the Holy Spirit. No matter where Jesus was born, they all believed He is the King of the Jews. They did not refuse to accept the Lord Jesus because of the place where the Lord Jesus was born, and ultimately they did follow the instructions of the Lord to leave instead of obeying Herod’s orders, which avoided the Lord being known by King Herod. This record is a great inspiration to us Christians. At that time, the scribes and Pharisees wantonly condemned, judged and blasphemed the Lord Jesus because the Lord Jesus’ birth and His preachings didn’t conform to people’s notions, eventually they crucified the Lord Jesus, committing the heinous crime of resisting God. From this we can see that we humans are too arrogant and too rebellious! Revealed as God’s Word: “The Jews of the time all read from the Old Testament and knew of Isaiah’s prophecy that a male infant would be born in a manger. Why then, with this knowledge, did they still persecute Jesus? Is this not because of their rebellious nature and ignorance of the work of the Holy Spirit? At that time, the Pharisees believed that the work of Jesus was unlike what they knew of the prophesied male infant; … Can you be such that you accept without question all the work of the Holy Spirit? If it is the work of the Holy Spirit, then it is the right stream. You should accept it without the slightest misgivings, rather than picking and choosing what to accept. If you gain some knowledge from God and exercise some caution against Him, is this not an act truly uncalled for?” It can be seen that only those who always obey the guidance of the Holy Spirit can seek the appearance of God. It is the same when it comes to the return of the Lord Jesus. No matter what God does, only those who seek, accept , and obey God can seek the appearance of God.

Mystery Revealed: True Meaning of the Lord’s Words “But of That Day and That Hour Knows No Man”

According to what the Lord Jesus said “But of that day and hour knows no man, not the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but My Father only” (Matthew 24:36), many people think that no one will know when the Lord returns. So when hearing the news of the Lord’s return, they refuse to seek or investigate. But is their viewpoint correct? The Lord Jesus said, “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him” (Matthew 25:6). It can be seen that when the Lord returns, there will be some people who testify to us the Lord has returned, in other words, the Lord will surely let us know the news of His return. Since this is the case, what did the Lord mean by “But of that day and hour knows no man”?

Those Who Love God Are Those Who Follow the Lord’s Way.

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

From this scripture we can see that those who truly love God are those who are able to abide by the Lord’s way and that God loves such kind of people. This is because those who love God are able to worry about God’s worries and think about God’s thoughts, be of one mind with God, obey and revere God, and do everything in accordance with God’s will. Take the Lord Jesus’ disciple Peter for example. He pursued to love God and satisfy God all his life. He accepted God’s commission to shepherd God’s sheep without his personal plans and considerations. So the Lord Jesus gave him the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Peter achieved an ultimate love for God and obedience unto death, creating a beautiful and resounding testimony for God. It can be seen that Peter is after God’s heart and his pursuit is praised by God. Therefore, we should imitate Peter and pursue to be a person who can obey, revere, and love God. By doing so, we can have God’s presence and blessings and inherit God’s promises. Just as God says, “The reason why only those who truly love God have the most value and meaning in their lives, and only they truly believe in God, is because these people live in God’s light, they are able to live for God’s work and management; they do not live in darkness, but live in the light; they do not live meaningless lives, but lives that have been blessed by God. Only those who love God are able to testify to God, only they are God’s witnesses, only they are blessed by God, and only they are able to receive God’s promises. Those who love God are God’s intimates, they are the people beloved by God, and they can enjoy blessings together with God. Only people such as this will live to eternity, and only they will forever live under God’s care and protection” (“Those Who Love God Will Forever Live Within His Light”).

The Last Christ Is the Lord of the Judgment and the One Who Opens the Scroll. (Part Three)

  1. “The Bible records that only the Lamb can break the seven seals. In the past generations, there were many Bible expositors among the great men. Then can you say that they were all the Lamb? Can you say that their expositions were completely from God? They were only ‘Bible expositors,’ and they did not have the identity of the Lamb. How could they be qualified to break the seven seals?”

from “A Statement About Address and Identity” in The Word Appears in the Flesh

  1. “In the end time, when I open my scroll (the scroll refers to all the words of my mouth, the words I speak in the last time, which are all the content of my scroll), I will tell you this.

How to Discern God’s Voice

Bible Verses for Reference

“I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come” (John 16:12–13).

“Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof” (Revelation 5:5).

Praise Song 2021 | “God’s Love Encircles My Heart” | English Christian Song

The Sun of righteousness rises in the East.
Oh God! Your glory fills heaven and earth.
My beautiful beloved, Your love surrounds me.
Those who seek truth all love God.
In the early morning, though I rise alone,
joy’s in my heart as I ponder God’s words.
His gentle words, like a loving mother.
His words of judgment, like a father’s reproof.

I’ve Learned to Truly Pray in Child’s Illness

By Chengcheng, China

Prayer is an important way in which we establish a proper relationship with God. But why sometimes doesn’t God hear our prayers? How should we pray to receive God’s praise? I was confused by these problems in the past. But now I have a new knowledge of prayer through a special experience.

Flu Breaking Out, I Prayed for My Son

There has been a large-scale flu outbreak recently, and many people have gotten sick, especially children. Because of their young age and poor immunity, many children had cold and fever. There were relevant reports and posts both on WeChat Moments and in Wechat groups. Seeing that every major children’s hospital was overcrowded, and that it took a few hours to line up, I prayed to God in my heart, “God! Everything is controlled in Your hands. My son has a weak constitution. I don’t know whether he can overcome this or not. Oh God! I’m willing to entrust my son to You and may You protect him.”

Seeing my classmates and friends were busy taking their children to see a doctor, I felt very happy that I could rely on God. However, sometimes I would still worry about my son, so I always prayed to God for him.

Those Who Follow the Footsteps of the Lamb Are Blessed

There is a key verse in Revelation: “These are they which follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the first fruits to God and to the Lamb”(Revelation 14:4). Do you know whom “the Lamb” refers to? Some people say the Lamb refers to the Lord Jesus. But they are half right. Why is that the case? We have known the Lord Jesus was called the Lamb because He was the Son of man in the flesh. This prophecy is about the Lord’s return, so the Lamb here is about the Lord returning in the flesh. That is to say, the Lord’s coming in the last days is just like how the Lord Jesus appeared and worked, and They’re incarnations, the Son of man, the Lamb.

Now the Lord Jesus has become flesh and descended among us in secret, expressing the truth, and doing the work of judgment starting from the house of God. If people hear the voice of the incarnate Son of man in the last days, and accept and submit, then they really are blessed. It’s because they’ve welcomed the Lord and followed the Lamb’s footsteps, and they’re attending His wedding feast.
