In February, 1999, the jealousy and strife among the co-workers in our church made me upset and low-spirited. I could not feel the presence of the Lord, had no enjoyment when listening to the sermons of the pastors, and received no light when reading the Bible by myself, feeling very thirsty in my spirit. One day, Sister Tian suddenly came to my home and took me to listen to a sermon. At that time, Sister Cheng fellowshiped with us the three stages of God’s work: the Age of Law, the Age of Grace, and the Age of Kingdom, the relationship among them and the result to be achieved in each stage of work. Moreover, she explained to us what incarnation is. And she told us that Almighty God is just Christ incarnate in the last days, has expressed all the truths of salvation of mankind, and has brought the way of eternal life to man, and all these have fulfilled the prophecies in Revelation: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (Revelation 22:13). “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 3:13). “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” (Luke 17:24-25). In the end, she sang the song called The Savior Has Long Ago Returned for us. Hearing the sister’s fellowship, I became certain that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus’ second coming. I felt very pleased in my heart, for the time when the Lord comes back has finally come. What’s more, He has expressed so many words to mankind. I must tell this great news to the brothers and sisters who are waiting for the Lord Jesus’ coming back. However, before long, the pastors and elders knew the news that I had accepted God’s work in the last days. Since then I have had no quiet life any longer due to their disturbance.

Escaping Satan’s Sieges by God’s Word

I was once a leader of a Three-Self church. Seeing the pastors and elders scrambled for fame and gain, I was very disappointed with them and my faith and love gradually grew cold. Later, Almighty God’s work of the last days was preached to me. Through a period of investigation, I felt the work and guidance of the Holy Spirit and recovered the faith and love I had at the start. I was fully convinced of Almighty God’s work of the last days, and began to read His words hungrily and have meetings with my brothers and sisters in the Church of Almighty God. However, just then, I unexpectedly encountered the disturbances and sieges of the leaders and fellow believers in the Three-Self Church. In my bewilderment and confusion, it was Almighty God’s words that led me to overcome the temptations and disturbances of Satan, made me see clearly Satan’s ugly face and evil nature, and strengthened my faith in following Him to the very end.
I Rely on God to Persevere in Faith Though My Family Obstruct Me From Believing in God
“Haoran, have you really started to believe in Eastern Lightning?” asked my mother worriedly.
“See? Mom is crying. Is it that your belief in Almighty God is more important than mom?” my brother’s tone was filled with reproach.
“O God, no matter what difficulties and obstacles I may encounter, I wish to rely on You and follow You to the very end!” I prayed in a firm tone.
Whenever I think back to scene after scene of the past, deep emotions well up within me. If not for God’s guidance, I wouldn’t have been able to follow God to this day.
Feeling Sweetness for Standing Witness

I was a believer of the Head Covering Church. One day in 2008, Sister Li in my church paid a call on me. She sang a hymn “Follow Closely,” “… The kingdom exercise is led by God; all His people are joyful in heart. …” I felt so good about this song, for it was the most pleasant song I had ever heard. She said to me, “Sister, the Lord Jesus who we have long yearned for has come back and become flesh descending in China to do His work in a hidden way. This fulfills the very prophecies in the Bible, ‘And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him’ (Matthew 25:6) and ‘Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame’ (Revelation 16:15) and the Lord God said, ‘I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, said the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty’ (Revelation 1:8). Sister, we know the Lord Jesus prophesied He would descend in secret to save us. Now the prophecies are totally fulfilled. Today, Almighty God is the coming of the Lord Jesus. He has expressed all the truth of judging and purifying man.” Sister Li also read several pieces of God’s words to me, “The Savior Has Already Returned Upon a ‘White Cloud’,” “The Two Incarnations Complete the Significance of the Incarnation,” and “Only Christ of the Last Days Can Give Man the Way of Eternal Life.” I felt that these words are extraordinary, possessing power and authority. I expressed my willingness to seek and investigate carefully. Later, Sister Li often came to my home and read God’s words to me. After a period of seeking and investigation, I was fully convinced that all that Almighty God proclaims is the truth and God’s utterance. Almighty God is the return of the Lord Jesus. So I accepted Almighty God’s work of the last days happily.

The Gospel Reached Me When the Church Was Desolate
In April, 2015, I had meetings in Overseas Chinese Christian Church. At first, I saw a lively scene in the church. The brothers and sisters took the initiative in holy communions, and what’s more, there were varieties of Christian fellowships in the church. The pastor seemed to be very pious and to have love for the brothers and sisters as well. For example, when someone fell ill, the pastor would lead his co-workers to pray for him or her; they would pay a visit to a believer who didn’t attend meetings. I ardently pursued at that time, so the pastor prepared to train me to study theology. However, a period of time later, though I found there were various Christian fellowships, yet very few people came to have meetings or listen to sermons. For instance, every week twenty to thirty people came to eat before the Bible study meeting; however, when it began, there remained only six or seven persons. Some believers stayed to join in the Bible study meeting, but they dozed off. Seeing this phenomenon, the pastor not only could never solve this problem, but he said they were better than those who didn’t have gatherings. I also found some fellowships made different kinds of snacks and refreshments so that more people could take part in the activities they organized. I appeared to serve the Lord, yet my spirit felt dark and empty. For this reason, I often prayed and waited for the Lord to descend upon the clouds to take us into heaven.
