The True Meaning of “Jesus Coming on the Clouds” in Revelation 1:7

By Rayson, Kenya

Throughout our lives we will miss out on many things, such as a delicious meal, a date, a good job, an object of our affection, and so on. If we miss out on these things, we can get other things to replace them, but if we miss the last train to the kingdom of heaven, we will be left with eternal regrets. As a Christian, I was very lucky to have caught the last train for the kingdom of heaven.

In what method does the returned Lord appear before mankind to carry out His judgment?

Question 4: You said that the most prophesied thing in the Bible is God’s judgment work in the last days. There are at least 200 places in the Bible mentioning that God will come to carry out His judgment. This is completely true. But what you witnessed is God coming into the flesh to do His judgment work in the last days. This is different to what we accept. We believe the Lord in the last days will appear to mankind and work in the form of Jesus’ spiritual body following the resurrection. This is also the view of the majority in religious circles.

The Lord Jesus said that He would come again. In which way will He come again?

The answer from God’s word:

“For several thousand years, man has longed to be able to witness the arrival of the Savior. Man has longed to behold Jesus the Savior on a white cloud as He descends, in person, among those who have pined and yearned for Him for thousands of years. Man has longed for the Savior to return and be reunited with the people, that is, for Jesus the Savior to come back to the people from whom He has been apart for thousands of years. And man hopes that He will once again carry out the work of redemption that He did among the Jews, will be compassionate and loving toward man, will forgive the sins of man, bear the sins of man, and even bear all of man’s transgressions and deliver man from sin. They long for Jesus the Savior to be the same as before—a Savior who is lovable, amiable and venerable, who is never wrathful toward man, and who never reproaches man. This Savior forgives and bears all of man’s sins, and even dies upon the cross for man once more. Since Jesus departed, the disciples who followed Him, and all of the saints who were saved thanks to His name, have been desperately pining for Him and awaiting Him. All those who were saved by the grace of Jesus Christ during the Age of Grace have been longing for that joyful day during the last days, when Jesus the Savior arrives on a white cloud and appears among man. Of course, this is also the collective wish of all those who accept the name of Jesus the Savior today. Throughout the universe, all those who know of the salvation of Jesus the Savior have been desperately yearning for the sudden arrival of Jesus Christ, to fulfill the words of Jesus when on earth: ‘I shall arrive just as I departed.’ Man believes that, following the crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus went back to heaven upon a white cloud, and took His place at the Most High’s right hand. Similarly, man conceives that Jesus shall descend, again upon a white cloud (this cloud refers to the cloud that Jesus rode upon when He returned to heaven), among those who have desperately yearned for Him for thousands of years, and that He shall bear the image and clothes of the Jews. After appearing to man, He shall bestow food upon them, and cause living water to gush forth for them, and shall live among man, full of grace and love, living and real. And so on. Yet Jesus the Savior did not do this; He did the opposite of what man conceived. He did not arrive among those who had yearned for His return, and did not appear to all men while riding upon the white cloud. He has already arrived, but man does not know Him, and remains ignorant of His arrival. Man is only aimlessly awaiting Him, unaware that He has already descended upon a white cloud (the cloud which is His Spirit, His words, and His entire disposition and all that He is), and is now among a group of overcomers that He will make during the last days. Man does not know this: Although the holy Savior Jesus is full of affection and love toward man, how could He work in ‘temples’ inhabited by filth and impure spirits? Though man has been awaiting His arrival, how could He appear to those who eat the flesh of the unrighteous, drink the blood of the unrighteous, wear the clothes of the unrighteous, who believe in Him but do not know Him, and who constantly extort Him? Man knows only that Jesus the Savior is full of love and compassion, and is the sin offering filled with redemption. But man has no idea that He is also God Himself, who is brimming with righteousness, majesty, wrath, and judgment, and possessed of authority and full of dignity. And so even though man eagerly yearns for and craves the return of the Redeemer, and even Heaven is moved by the prayers of man, Jesus the Savior does not appear to those who believe in Him but do not know Him.”

What Does “No One Knows the Day or the Hour” in Matthew 24:36 Mean?

We all hope to welcome the Lord’s return. Nowadays, the four blood moons have already appeared; earthquakes, famines, plagues and all sorts of other disasters are becoming more and more frequent. The prophecies of the Lord’s second coming have basically been fulfilled. And there are many people who are publicly testifying online that the Lord Jesus has returned. But many brothers and sisters are confused: “The Bible clearly says: ‘But of that day and hour knows no man, not the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but My Father only’ (Matthew 24:36). How could those bearing witness know that the Lord has come back? Has the Lord truly returned? How can we welcome the Lord?” These are important questions that relate to whether we can welcome the Lord. Let’s explore them together.

From What Signs Can We Tell The Lord Jesus Has Already Come?

By Lin Hua

In the church, Pastor Zhu who wore a suit and leather shoes was standing at the pulpit, with a Bible in his hand. He preached: “Brothers and sisters, the prophecies of the Lord’s return in the Revelation have basically been fulfilled. We shall be watching and waiting. Now is the time that the Lord comes again, so we must keep our meetings no matter how weak we are.”

Do You Want to Find the Way to Welcome the Lord in 2021?

With all sorts of disasters coming down one after another, many people have been watching and waiting for the Lord to come upon clouds. However, disasters are growing increasingly intense, but they have not welcomed the Lord.

God says, “Wherever God appears, there the truth is expressed, and there the voice of God will be. Only those who can accept the truth will be able to hear the voice of God, and only such people are qualified to witness the appearance of God.”

So how can we soberly ready ourselves to welcome the Lord’s return? The Lord Jesus said, “ I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.” (John 16:12–13). “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches” (Revelation 2:7). These scriptures show that the Lord will speak to the churches and lead us into all truth when He returns in the last days. If we are God’s sheep, we can actively seek and investigate when hearing someone testify to the Lord’s return. Once we recognize the voice of God and then accept and follow Him, we will be taken before the throne of God and attend the wedding feast of the Lamb. Obviously, if we want to welcome the Lord, the key is to listen to God’s voice.

One summer evening, the weather being very sultry, people enjoying the cool occupied the benches of the park by ones and twos. Lisa strolled in the park alone, now raising her head and looking up at the sky, now bowing her head to think, with a face full of worry.

Suddenly, finding three people standing in front of her, Lisa stopped. With her head raised slowly, she saw clearly that it was Leader Mu, Brother Zheng, and Sister Yuan of the church who were greeting her. Lisa immediately got a little flurried and her heart started thumping, because last time she promised Leader Mu to attend the co-worker training meeting but actually was too busy with her work to show up. How Will the Lord Jesus Appear When He Comes Back?

In the matter of welcoming the Lord’s return, we all neglect 3 important Bible verses—Matthew 24:27 and Luke 17:24–25—that prophesy the Lord will come as the Son of man. What does “the Son of man” refer to? The reference to “the Son of man” means someone born of a human who possesses normal humanity. The incarnated Lord Jesus was called the Son of man and Christ because He was the fleshly incarnation of the Spirit of God who looked normal on the outside, but possessed complete divinity, and could perform the work of God Himself. Therefore, “the coming of the Son of man” means that when God comes in the last days, He will still appear to us in the flesh. So why will the Lord incarnate the second time when He returns? In fact, this is filled with God’s tremendous salvation and love for us.
