Searching for the Footprints of God

When I was a student, I became a Christian. At that time, my mom often took me to the church after she learned that there was a free remedial course there, which offered me a chance to come into contact with Christianity. I guess that was from God’s sovereignty and arrangements.

Under the influence of the pastors and brothers and sisters in the church, I was favorably inclined toward Christianity. Through studying the Bible and communicating with brothers and sisters, I had some knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and knew that He was crucified in order to save us sinners. Though I wasn’t familiar with Christianity and didn’t fully know about the history of the Bible at that time, I thought I had found spiritual sustenance and knew that I should pray to the Lord Jesus for peace and entrust my everything to Him. Besides, I also saw the Lord’s work in brothers and sisters: They served the Lord fervently, and they lived in harmony with each other and helped each other. I was deeply moved by these and was resolved to accept the Lord Jesus as my Lord and join this big family.

It Is Very Important to Establish a Normal Relationship With God

The way that people believe in God, love God, and satisfy God is by touching the Spirit of God with their heart and thereby obtaining His satisfaction, and by using their heart to engage with God’s words and thus being moved by the Spirit of God. If you wish to achieve a normal spiritual life and establish a normal relationship with God, then you must first give your heart to Him. Only after you have quieted your heart before Him and poured your whole heart into Him will you gradually be able to develop a normal spiritual life. If in people’s belief in God, they do not give their heart to Him and if their heart is not in Him and they do not treat His burden as their own, then everything they do is an act of cheating God, an act typical of religious people, and cannot receive God’s praise. God cannot gain anything from this kind of person; this kind of person can only serve as a foil to God’s work, like a decoration in the house of God, something superfluous and useless. God does not make use of this kind of person. In such a person, not only is there no opportunity for the work of the Holy Spirit, there is not even any value in their being perfected. This type of person is, in truth, a walking corpse. Such people have nothing that can be used by the Holy Spirit, but on the contrary, all of them have been appropriated and deeply corrupted by Satan. God will weed these people out. Currently, in making use of people the Holy Spirit not only employs those parts of them that are desirable in order to get things done, He also perfects and changes their undesirable parts. If your heart can be poured into God and remain quiet before Him, then you will have the opportunity and the qualifications to be used by the Holy Spirit, to receive the enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit, and even more, you will have the opportunity for the Holy Spirit to make good your shortcomings. When you give your heart to God, on the positive side, you can attain deeper entry and attain a higher plane of insight; on the negative side, you will have more understanding of your own faults and shortcomings, you will be more eager to seek to satisfy God’s will, and you will not be passive, but will actively enter in. Thus, you will become a correct person. Assuming your heart is able to remain quiet before God, the key to whether or not you receive praise from the Holy Spirit, and whether or not you please God, is whether you can actively enter in. When the Holy Spirit enlightens a person and makes use of them, it never makes them negative but always makes them actively progress. Even though this person has weaknesses, they can avoid basing the way they live their lives on those weaknesses. They can avoid delaying growth in their life, and continue to seek to satisfy God’s will. This is a standard. If you can attain this, it is sufficient proof that you have obtained the presence of the Holy Spirit. If a person is always negative, and if, even after receiving enlightenment and coming to know themselves, they remain negative and passive and unable to stand up and act in concert with God, then this type of person just receives the grace of God, but the Holy Spirit is not with them. When a person is negative, this means that their heart has not turned to God and their spirit has not been moved by God’s Spirit. This should be understood by all.

Christian Experience: Am I Really Saved?

In Misery and Confusion, I Believed in the Lord Jesus

After my graduation, I found a job and worked for two years. During this period of time, my father and younger brother died, leaving my mother and me behind. During these two years, I spent my days in tears and couldn’t express the pain in my heart. In order to support my family, I came to the USA to work. At the beginning, I worked in a restaurant and my income was quite limited. In order to save money for rent, I lived in the basement of the restaurant. Over time, the damp basement environment started affecting me physically. As a result, I developed edema throughout my body and often felt very tired. In fact, my heart was even more tired. For I didn’t have my father to rely on, much less did I want my mother to worry about me—all I could do was silently endure the misery and loneliness by myself. At that time, I started having doubts about the meaning of life, thinking, “I work like a robot every day, just for food and clothing. What else do I live for?”

If You Bitterly Long for the Lord to Come Upon a Cloud but Haven’t Welcomed Him Yet

2000 years ago, Revelation predicted, “I come quickly” (Revelation 22:7). Almost all the believers in the Lord have been waiting for the Lord to descend riding upon a cloud in the last days and take us to the kingdom of heaven. But did you know? The Lord has already descended upon a “white cloud” and has spoken and worked for over 30 years. Are you astonished to hear this news? “Has the Lord come upon a cloud? Why didn’t I see Him?” It is mainly because you only know the Lord would come upon a cloud, but the true meaning of “white cloud” is unknown to you. Today, we are going to help you comprehend the real meaning of “white cloud” through God’s words so as to greet the Lord Jesus’ return.

Know More About the Root of the Pharisees’ Resistance Against Jesus

After breakfast, brothers and sisters were having a meeting at Yang Keqin’s home. Then, Wang Hui, Yang Keqin’s wife, said happily, “Keqin, look who’s back!” Yang Keqin glanced up and saw his cousin, whom he believed in the Lord together with. He looked excited, saying, “Ha! Aizhen! You went out to work for the Lord and it has been four years since then. We all miss you so much.” “I also want to have a meeting with you all. Today, we finally meet again!” Song Aizhen replied excitedly. Brothers and sisters then exchanged greetings enthusiastically.

At that time, Brother Liu Yi said earnestly, “Sister Song, your fellowships were so enlightening before. We are all glad to see you coming back. Let’s have a fellowship together.”

Song Aizhen agreed directly, saying, “Thank the Lord. May the Lord guide us. Brothers and sisters, what were you fellowshiping just now?”

Why Is It Hard for a Rich Man to Enter God’s Kingdom?

When I got up early in the morning, I said a prayer, then opened up the Bible and read the following: “And, behold, one came and said to Him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And He said to him, Why call you Me good? there is none good but One, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments. He said to Him, Which? Jesus said, You shall do no murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and your mother: and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The young man said to Him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said to him, If you will be perfect, go and sell that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Then said Jesus to His disciples, Truly I say to you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God” (Matthew 19:16–24). I had read these verses many times, but I didn’t know why it is hard for a rich man to enter God’s kingdom. What did the Lord mean when He told this parable to His disciples? A camel simply cannot go through the eye of a needle, which implies that the rich young man was entirely unable to enter into the kingdom of God. So, what does the Lord want us to understand through this parable?

Gospel Movie Extract 5 From “Perilous Is the Road to the Heavenly Kingdom”

In the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus did the work of redemption that absolved us of all our sins. As long as we accept the Lord Jesus as our Savior and pray and confess our sins to the Lord, then our sins will be absolved and we will be saved through our faith. So what exactly does “being saved” here mean? Can we be raptured and enter the kingdom of heaven by believing in the Lord, coming under His grace and being saved?

Knowing God’s Unoffendable Disposition From His Flooding the World. A Commentary on Genesis 6:13

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

In the past, when I read this verse, I only knew that the people of Noah’s time were too evil and corrupt so they were destroyed by God. Not until I read a passage of words in a gospel book did I understand that the destruction of the world by the flood contains God’s disposition.

It says, “There is another revelation of God’s disposition here: In God’s eyes, there is a limit to His patience toward man’s corruption, toward the filthiness, violence, and disobedience of all flesh. What is His limit? It’s as God said: ‘God looked on the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way on the earth.’ What does the phrase ‘for all flesh had corrupted his way on the earth’ mean? It means any living thing, including those who followed God, those who called on the name of God, those who once sacrificed burnt offerings to God, those who verbally acknowledged God and even praised God—once their behavior was full of corruption and reached God’s eyes, He would have to destroy them. That was God’s limit. So to what extent did God remain patient to man and the corruption of all flesh? To the extent that all people, whether followers of God or unbelievers, were not walking the right path. To the extent that man was not just morally corrupt and full of evil, but where there was no one who believed in God’s existence, let alone anyone who believed that the world is ruled by God and that God can bring people light and the right path. To the extent that man despised God’s existence and did not permit God to exist. Once man’s corruption reached this point, God would no longer have patience. What would replace it instead? The coming of God’s wrath and God’s punishment.”

The Canaanite Woman’s Faith in God: God Is Still God No Matter How He Treats Me

The New Testament recorded: “And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried to him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, you son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and sought him, saying, Send her away; for she cries after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. Then Jesus answered and said to her, O woman, great is your faith: be it to you even as you will. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour” (Matthew 15:22–28). After reading these verses, I felt that the Canaanite woman did have great faith. When the Lord Jesus called her a dog, she could still say such words as, “yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Eventually she gained the Lord’s grace and approval on account of her true faith in Him. Afterward, through reading the words in a book I got some new understanding and knowledge of this story, and knew a little why the Lord Jesus praised the faith of the Canaanite woman.
