Job’s Faith in God Is Not Shaken Because God Is Hidden From Him

Job Has Heard of God by the Hearing of the Ear

Job’s Faith

(Job 9:11) See, he goes by me, and I see him not: he passes on also, but I perceive him not.

(Job 23:8-9) Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: On the left hand, where he does work, but I cannot behold him: he hides himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him.

(Job 42:2-6) I know that you can do every thing, and that no thought can be withheld from you. Who is he that hides counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. Hear, I beseech you, and I will speak: I will demand of you, and declare you to me. I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear: but now my eye sees you. Why I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

What Is the Way of Christ’s Second Coming in the Last Days?

We Christians all know that when the Lord Jesus descends for the second time, He will receive us so that we can be with Him. This is the promise that the Lord has made to us, and also is the greatest longing for all Christians. So welcoming the Lord’s second coming is the most important matter of us believers’ lives. But to welcome the Lord, we must first know in what way His second coming will happen. If we are not clear about this, then we will be apt to miss the Lord’s return and lose the opportunity to enter into the kingdom of heaven for all of eternity. Let’s fellowship about this topic today.

Why Did the Lord Say, “Not Every One That Said to Me, Lord, Lord, Shall Enter Into the Kingdom of Heaven”?

Many believers in the Lord think, “The Lord has already forgiven all of our sins and doesn’t see us as sinners. We have gained righteousness through our faith, and as long as we continue to attend church gatherings, to pray and do some good deeds, when the Lord returns, we will be raptured directly into the kingdom of heaven.” Is this view based on the word of God? The Lord Jesus once said, “Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21). According to God’s words, we know that only those who do God’s will can enter the kingdom of God. Let’s check ourselves against God’s requirements to see whether our behaviors are in line with God’s will? The Lord said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like to it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37–39). Although we want to love the Lord and act according to the Lord’s requirements, we can still complain about the Lord, even deny and betray Him when we encounter trials and disasters. We clearly know that God teaches us to love our neighbor as ourselves, but we even can’t tolerate our family members, and we will get angry when something doesn’t go our way. God wants us to be pure and honest people, but we often lie and deceive others in our lives. We can’t live out the Lord’s teachings at all, so how can we say that we are those who do the will of God?

How Should We Welcome the Return of the Lord Jesus?

Nowadays, all the believers in the Lord are expecting the Lord Jesus’ second coming to bring man into the kingdom of heaven. Especially when people reading the scripture Acts 1:11, “Which also said, You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven.”, they think that the Lord left on a white cloud, so he will surely return on a white cloud. Thus most people just wait for the return of the Lord Jesus passively. But over more than two thousand years have passed, man still hasn’t seen the Savior coming with clouds. In recent years, whenever I see the disaster is greater and greater and the church becomes more and more desolate, I couldn’t help looking up to heaven and crying out to the Lord, “O Lord! Nowadays various signs of the last days have already been fulfilled, but why have we still not seen your return?” With the passage of time, I began to doubt: Is it truly after God’s heart that we wait for God’s coming so passively? Then how shall we welcome the return of the Lord?

Disasters are now upon us. An epidemic is spreading all over the world, the omens of the Lord’s coming have been fulfilled, and those who long for God’s appearance are longing for the Savior to come, rescuing humanity from disaster and bringing us into the kingdom of heaven. Two thousand years ago, the Lord Jesus said, “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). Only by achieving genuine repentance can we be saved and enter the kingdom of heaven. But what is genuine repentance? Is it believing in the Lord and having our sins forgiven, yet still often sinning, resisting God, and living in sin we can’t extricate ourselves from? Is it to make sacrifices, expend ourselves, and to outwardly do good deeds? The crosstalk “Have You Really Repented?” reveals the answer for you.
