Matthew 5:8 – The Pure in Heart Can Hear God’s Voice

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

From this verse, we can see that the Lord hopes that we can empty ourselves and relinquish our own old notions, to be a person with pure obedience, because only people with pure hearts can hear God’s voice and follow the footsteps of God. Think back to 2000 years ago, the Lord Jesus preached the gospel of heaven and did the work of redemption. At that time, although the way of repentance preached by the Lord Jesus was beyond the scope of the Law, all those who sincerely believed in God and waited for the coming of Messiah, like Peter, John, James and other disciples, listened to the preaching of the Lord Jesus with sober minds, and were unswerving in following the Lord Jesus. Because they saw that the words of the Lord Jesus can make the lame walk and resurrect the dead, and that His words possess the same power and authority as the Creator used His words to create the heavens and earth and all things. Also because they saw that the Lord Jesus was filled with lovingkindness and mercy, forgiving the sins of man and also teaching His followers to love their neighbor as themselves, love their enemies, and be patient and forbearing, which brought people ways of practice. On the contrary, the Pharisees and the leaders of Judaism who clung to the letters of the Old Testament of the Bible to condemned and resisted the Lord Jesus, and those Jews who were deceived for lack of their own views and discernment, colluded together with the Roman government to crucify the Lord Jesus—committed a heinous crime—consequently they were punished by God and would never again receive the forgiveness or pardon of the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus has ever prophesied, “For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.” The Lord predicted that He would be rejected by the world again when He comes back in the last days. It tells the recurrence of the tragedy that people of the last days will condemn and resist the Lord Jesus’ second coming. For us to welcome the Lord Jesus’ return, for those matters we cannot see through, should we be with pure hearts to put aside ourselves, pray and seek the truth to gain God’s inspiration and guidance so as not to miss God’s salvation?

I Do Not Blindly Pray For Grace And Blessings

I had been eaten up with lumbar disease and no improvement was found after taking many various dugs, so I lived every day in the torture of disease. Seeing me in pain, my neighbor preached the gospel of the Lord Jesus to me. After coming to the church, I heard the pastor preach the following words, “We believers in the Lord should rely on prayer in everything, because it is said in the Bible: ‘Therefore I say to you, What things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them’ (Mark 11:24). ‘And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. … Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit’ (James 5:15-18).”

The Key to Welcoming the Lord: Listening to the Returned Lord’s Words

Disasters are growing in scale. Are you also yearning to welcome the Lord? Seeing that more and more people are testifying on the Internet that the Lord has returned, are you confused about how to welcome the Lord? These words of Almighty God will tell you the answer.

Almighty God says, “Since we are searching for the footprints of God, it behooves us to search for God’s will, for the words of God, for His utterances—because wherever there are new words spoken by God, the voice of God is there, and wherever there are the footsteps of God, God’s deeds are there. Wherever there is the expression of God, there God appears, and wherever God appears, there the truth, the way, and the life exist. In seeking God’s footprints, you have ignored the words ‘God is the truth, the way, and the life.’ And so, many people, even when they receive the truth, do not believe that they have found God’s footprints, and still less do they acknowledge the appearance of God. What a grave mistake!” God’s words point out for us the key to welcoming the Lord: focusing on listening to God’s voice.

The Lord’s Prayer in the Bible Contains the Mystery of the Heavenly Kingdom

By Jinyi, United States

Many Christians believe the kingdom of heaven is in heaven, but the Lord’s Prayer says, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). And the Book of Revelation also says, “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ” (Revelation 11:15). So, is the kingdom of heaven in heaven or on earth? In this article, we reveal the answer for you.

Is the Kingdom of God in Heaven or on Earth?

At meetings, I often hear my pastor say, “In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2–3), “And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God…. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass” (Revelation 21:10, 21), and similar passages from the Scripture to tell us that the Lord has gone to prepare a place for us, and that when He returns, we will all directly be raptured up to heaven to enjoy the pearls and gold of heaven, and that we should soberly await and pray often to avoid being left behind when the Lord returns

Hebrews 9:28 – The Second Appearance of the Lord Is for Salvation

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

We can know from this verse, in the Age of Grace, the incarnate Lord Jesus was nailed to the cross in a holy and sinless flesh. He took on the sins of all mankind and served as a sin offering, so that man could break away from the danger of being convicted and cursed by laws. Though we have been redeemed by the Lord Jesus and forgiven of our sins, our sinful nature still exists. We are still bound and restrained by sins, living in the circle of committing and confessing sins, and could not feel released. The same holds true for each of us. God is faithfulness. For the sake of saving man completely, the Lord Jesus has returned to the flesh as the Son of man in the last days, that is, Christ of the last days appeared to work among us in order to resolve our sinful nature, thoroughly save us from the bondage of sin, so that our corrupt disposition can be purified, and we can achieve salvation and be gained by God. Just as God says, “The first incarnation was to redeem man from sin, to redeem him by means of the fleshly body of Jesus, that is, He saved man from the cross, but the corrupt satanic disposition still remained within man. The second incarnation is no longer to serve as a sin offering but rather to save fully those who were redeemed from sin. This is done so that those who have been forgiven may be delivered from their sins and made fully clean, and by attaining a changed disposition, break free of Satan’s influence of darkness and return before the throne of God. Only in this way can man be fully sanctified.”

How Does the Lord Come “as a Thief”?

Recently, we asked some brothers and sisters what confusion they have about the issue of welcoming the Lord’s return. Brother John Gomez Gonzales said, “Some people bear witness online to the Lord’s return ‘as a thief.’ I want to seek: How does the Lord come ‘as a thief’?”Answer: Hello, brother John Gomez Gonzales. Concerning the question you raised, let us take a look at a prophecy first. It is prophesied in Revelation, “Behold, I come as a thief” (Revelation 16:15) “As a thief,” on the one hand, means the Lord’s coming quietly and in secret; on the other hand, it implies the Lord’s coming as the incarnate Son of man, just as the Lord prophesied, “Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes.” (Matthew 24:44).

God’s words say, “When God came from heaven above to the earth, no one in heaven or on earth was aware of this, for this is the true meaning of God returning under concealment. He has been working and living in the flesh for a long time, and yet no one has been aware. Even to this day, no one recognizes it. Perhaps this will remain an eternal riddle. God’s coming into the flesh this time is something that no human can possibly become aware of. No matter how large-scale and powerful the impact of the Spirit’s work, God always remains impassive, never giving anything away. One can say that this stage of His work is the same as if it were taking place in the heavenly realm. Even though it is apparent to all who have eyes to see, no one recognizes it. When God finishes this stage of His work, all humanity will break with their usual attitude, and awaken from their long dream. … At the break of dawn, unbeknownst to the multitudes of humanity, God came to earth and began His life in the flesh. People were unaware of the coming of this moment. Maybe they were all fast asleep; maybe many who were watchfully awake were waiting, and maybe many were praying silently to God in heaven. Yet among all these many people, not a single one knew that God had already arrived on earth.”

Prepare for Jesus’ Return: No More Pharisees’ Errors

By Ma Xiao

One day, Sister Ma made an appointment with me to come to Co-worker Xiao’s house. Sister Ma said, “These days, when studying the Scripture, I’m always confused by a question. I want to discuss it with you, and listen to your understanding. In the Bible, I saw one of the ‘Seven Woes’ with which the Lord Jesus cursed the Pharisees: ‘But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for you neither go in yourselves, neither suffer you them that are entering to go in’ (Matthew 23:13). I thought: These scribes and Pharisees were master of the Bible and served Jehovah God in the temple and synagogue all the year round. They ought to have known God best. However, they didn’t accept the Lord’s salvation and even hindered the Jews from doing it when the Lord Jesus came to do work. Unexpectedly, they nailed the Lord Jesus to the cross in the end. They were all familiar with the Bible and the laws. How come they didn’t know God but rather resisted Him? It’s very necessary for us to figure it out, I think.”

Sermons and Fellowship: What’s Wise About the Wise Virgins Who Welcome the Lord?

“During the Age of Grace, Jesus talked about the wise virgins. What is this mystery all about? What does the term wise virgin mean? The main point is that she recognizes God’s voice. When she hears it, she thinks, ‘Why do I think that the things this Son of man is saying are God’s words? Why does it seem like He has God’s voice? These are things that man cannot say. This is God’s voice. So I must believe in Him. He is Christ. This is God incarnate.’ Look, this is why she is wise. Now, why are foolish virgins foolish? It is because they think, ‘Isn’t this just a man? Isn’t this Jesus of Nazareth? Isn’t this just a normal person? How can he be God? We will not believe in him. We believe in the God in heaven.’ You see, they do not understand spiritual matters, right? These people believe that they themselves are correct and that they are in the right. The result was that God takes the wise in their own craftiness. Aren’t you wise? Aren’t you someone who does not believe in man? Today, God has become incarnate. He has become man. If you do not believe, you will be destroyed, and you will perish. If you think that you are clever and wise, you will have fooled yourself.”
