Matthew 5:6 – Those Who Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness Shall Be Filled

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

The teaching of the Lord Jesus reminded me of the prophecy mentioned in Revelation that “I will give to him that is thirsty of the fountain of the water of life freely.” All those who seek the truth, hunger and thirst for righteousness will receive the provision of living water of life and be sated in their spirit when they come before God. It’s necessary for man to have an active seeking heart. Just as God’s words say, “God directs His word to all people. If you are willing to read it, He will enlighten you, but if you are not, He will not. God enlightens those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, and those who seek Him. … God has spoken much, so you should do your utmost to eat and drink of His word. Without realizing it, you will come to understand and the Holy Spirit will enlighten you. When the Holy Spirit enlightens man, it is often without man’s awareness. He enlightens and guides you when you thirst and seek. The principle by which the Holy Spirit works is centered on the word of God of which you eat and drink.” “If someone always feels like he can’t eat or drink enough of God’s word, if he always seeks it and hungers and thirsts for it, the Holy Spirit will always do work upon him. The more someone yearns, the more practical things can come out of his fellowship. The more intensely someone seeks the truth, the more quickly his life grows, giving him rich experience and making him a wealthy man in the house of God.” From God’s words we can see, God treasures and enlightens those who long for and seek the truth. Meanwhile, this is a must practice for us seeking the appearance of God. For example, during the age when the Lord Jesus did His work, the scribes and Pharisees who abided by the Bible and were unwilling to seek the work and words of the Lord Jesus missed the chance to accept the provision of the Lord Jesus’ words. While those who thirsted for the work and words of the Lord Jesus received the provision of the living water of life and obtained the guidance of the work of the Holy Spirit. This is a huge practical example. In the Bible God prophesied many times that the Lord Jesus has words for us during His second coming in the last days. And whether we could gain these words or not needs our active seeking, for the Lord Jesus said, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.” Though many people are afraid of being deceived by false Christs and antichrists in the last days, God will surely lead us to find His work and words if we are willing to seek.

Praise and Worship Song “The Whole Earth Shall Rejoice and Praise God” (With Lyrics)

Once the words of God are uttered, His authority takes command

and what He has promised becomes true step by step.

Changes start to happen in everything around.

These are the miracles out of the Creator’s hands.

It’s like when spring comes: grass turns green, flowers bloom,

Learn to Discern the True Way From False Ways, and Welcome Jesus

Hello Brother Chen Yi:

In the last few years, the pastors and elders often told us, “Now all sorts of disasters have occurred and the prophecies of the Lord’s return have basically been fulfilled. This shows that now is the end of the last days and the critical time for the return of the Lord. However, all manner of heresies and false ways will appear to deceive us as well, so we should watch and pray and adhere to the name and the way of the Lord. If someone is preaching that the Lord has returned, we should refuse to listen to, read, or get in touch with it, lest we be deceived and thus be abandoned by the Lord.” But some believers in God said, “If we do not listen to, read, or contact it for fear of being deceived—giving up eating for fear of choking, can we welcome the Lord?” So I want to ask a question: Is it right that we close our door and wait alone for fear of being deceived? What are your opinions on this question?

Yours Sincerely,

Guangming

The Lord Is Knocking: How Should Welcome Him?

Friends, nowadays, earthquakes, fires, the pandemic occur one after another. Have you realized that the frequency of disasters is the sign of the Lord’s return? The Lord has returned and is knocking at our doors. So how can we welcome the Lord?

The Book of Revelation prophesied, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).

Almighty God says, “Since we are searching for the footprints of God, it behooves us to search for God’s will, for the words of God, for His utterances—because wherever there are new words spoken by God, the voice of God is there, and wherever there are the footsteps of God, God’s deeds are there. Wherever there is the expression of God, there God appears, and wherever God appears, there the truth, the way, and the life exist. In seeking God’s footprints, you have ignored the words ‘God is the truth, the way, and the life.’ And so, many people, even when they receive the truth, do not believe that they have found God’s footprints, and still less do they acknowledge the appearance of God. What a grave mistake! The appearance of God cannot be reconciled with man’s notions, still less can God appear at the behest of man. God makes His own choices and His own plans when He does His work; moreover, He has His own objectives and His own methods. Whatever work He does, He has no need to discuss it with man or seek his advice, much less to notify each and every person of His work. This is the disposition of God, which should, moreover, be recognized by everyone. If you desire to witness the appearance of God, to follow God’s footsteps, then you must first walk away from your own notions. You must not demand that God do this or that, much less should you place Him within your own confines and limit Him to your own notions. Instead, you should demand of yourselves how you ought to seek God’s footprints, how you ought to accept God’s appearance, and how you ought to submit to the new work of God: This is what man should do. Since man is not the truth, and is not possessed of the truth, he should seek, accept, and obey.”

What Does It Mean to Be Saved and Attain Full Salvation?

Whenever the difference between being saved and attaining full salvation is mentioned, there are perhaps some brothers and sisters who will say, “Is there any difference between being saved and attaining full salvation? Doesn’t being saved mean attaining full salvation? We have been saved through our faith in the Lord Jesus, so have we not attained full salvation? When the Lord comes, we will immediately be raptured up into heaven.” But are things really this simple? It would be well for us to seek and discuss this matter.

Matthew 22:37-38 – Serve God With All Our Hearts and Souls

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

God requires us to love Him with all our heart and with all our mind. There is God’s good intention in it. God is holy, while we are sinners deeply corrupted by Satan. Based on the substance of our corruption, in fact, we are not fit to love God and even enjoy God’s love. God requiring us this way is God uplifting us and God’s grace to us. If we can love God with all our heart and with all our mind, we can achieve God’s salvation, live in God’s care and protection, break away from Satan’s boundage and control, and receive the real human life. Take Peter for example: It is because he pursued to love God and satisfy God in all his life that the Lord gave to him the keys of the kingdom of heaven. He accepted God’s commission and fed the Lord’s sheep for the sake of carrying out God’s will, so as to be able to love God utterly and obey God till death, and bear a beautiful and resounding witness to God. If we can pursue to love God and obey God like Peter, dedicate ourselves to carrying out God’s will, and become someone who truly loves God, this is the most meaningful life. Just as God’ words say, “The reason why only those who truly love God have the most value and meaning in their lives, and only they truly believe in God, is because these people live in God’s light, they are able to live for God’s work and management; they do not live in darkness, but live in the light; they do not live meaningless lives, but lives that have been blessed by God. Only those who love God are able to testify to God, only they are God’s witnesses, only they are blessed by God, and only they are able to receive God’s promises. Those who love God are God’s intimates, they are the people beloved by God, and they can enjoy blessings together with God. Only people such as this will live to eternity, and only they will forever live under God’s care and protection. ”

How Should We Understand Jesus Christ Is the Way, the Truth, and the Life?

Bible Verses for Reference:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God” (Jhn 1:1–2).

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us … full of grace and truth” (Jhn 1:14).

I am the way, the truth, and the life: No man comes to the Father, but by Me” (Jhn 14:6).

The words that I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life” (Jhn 6:63).

Commit My Fate Into God’s Hand, It’s Really Good!

By Chen Zhi, United States

I was born into an ordinary rural family in China. I am the eldest of my brothers and sisters. From my childhood, while I went to school, I also helped my parents to do some farm work. Seeing that my parents worked from dawn to night every day but still failed to resolve the basic necessities, I often felt a wave of sadness and made a resolution inwardly: I must walk out of the village and go to the big cities to make a go of it when I grow up. The textbook said, “Let us build a beautiful homeland with our own two hands.” So I believed firmly that only by my own efforts could I change my fate.

As I wished, I worked in a city after graduating from college. After I got married, I felt, as a man, I should shoulder the heavy burden of my family to make my wife and children live a happy life. Whenever I heard the friends by my side earn some money by doing business, buying luxurious mansions and driving luxury cars, I was more eager for success, thinking: I can also do what they do, moreover, I am a university graduate. Just like this, I couldn’t help itching to have a try.
